Life just doesn't slow down (That's a good thing)

First the updates. If you haven’t already visited the new Night Shift Website be sure and take a look. I've posted up Night Shift photos as well as music from the event. Although I'll be posting updates to this blog, any new information will be posted there first, so be stay tuned and add us on MySpace and follow us on twitter

Music

I've also updated the music section with a new player and faster downloads from my new file host Humyo. The podcast link is still the same (http://feeds2.feedburner.com/DarkSynthesis, but you will no longer experience any outages due to overage because humyo gives me unlimited bandwidth!

Speaking of music, I've taken a break this month from Dark Synthesis, and hope to get back on it next month with a promo mix for Night Shift. Our plan is to go monthly all summer long so hopefully that will motivate me to keep pumping out new mixes. Our next event is planned for May 16th, but nothing is solid yet. Stay tuned!

Videos

I've also finally consolidated all of my videos from Google, YouTube, etc onto Viddler, and thanks to Sitefinity's integrated features, I've synchronized them with this site, and you can view them in my video section. My latest addition is the short film I performed in, The Massage, written and directed by Fred Galvan.

Yvonne and I are also currently in the process of writing up some new short films, so be sure and stay tuned for that as well, and if you want to contribute your help by acting, filming, music, or financing (this one especially!) please get in touch with us!

Life

So that's what's new. Everything else is still running on all cylinders. My job at the City of McAllen is going GREAT, better than I could ever have expected. You know how people always say "find someone to pay you to do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." Sure, we all know that it IS true, but who ever though that it would COME true?

After a year of getting into the swing of things there (and launching both the new McAllen.net and McAllen Library websites, I'm finally at a point where I can start re-focusing my time on things that I want to do (besides just Night Shift)!

Some of the things I hope to accomplish in the coming months (or years!)

  • Successfully moving Night Shift to a monthly event
  • Shooting at least 2 short films before the end of the year
  • Produce at least 1 new song or at LEAST a remix of something
  • Get back into application programming (watch my Software Website for updates on that)
  • Buy a house
  • Finish rgvaXis
  • Help Yvonne launch her website to sell her art and hand-made accessories
  • Bring an darkwave group down to the valley and throw one kick-ass fucking party!

I'm especially looking forward to that last one!

All this is in addition to things I want to do for myself, like spend more time with family, read, learn, cook, discover new music, and all that stuff. It's amazing all the things you can accomplish if you just turn the tv off every now and then!

So that's where I am in life right now. Throughout my entire life, not once have I EVER been as busy as I am right now. And I wouldn't have it any other way! Life is too short, and it never slows down, and I'm not wasting one more minute!

Thanks for listening, now go out there and do something!
